On the Road to Helping Others: Sevan’s Career as a Service Technician

Every day, thousands of drivers find themselves stranded on the side of the road. For many of them, the first friendly face they see is someone like Sevan. As a Service Technician for AAA, Sevan helps people when their cars break down, whether it is a flat tire, a dead battery, or a car that will not start.

Sevan has been with AAA for four and a half years and has loved every moment of helping others. His passion for fixing cars started early. “Some people grow up around cars, working on them or helping out,” he shared. “That’s how I learned.”

When he decided to join AAA, Sevan went through a two-to-three-week training program where he learned everything needed to safely and efficiently assist drivers in need. Since then, he has found purpose and joy in his work. “I like meeting nice people,” he said. “It feels good to help them and see them happy when their car is back on the road.”

His advice to anyone interested in becoming a service technician is simple but meaningful: “Stay positive, always show up with a big smile, and make other people happy.”

At just 22, Sevan has already found a career that lets him combine technical skill with kindness, and he is proud to be part of a trade that makes a real difference in people’s lives every day.
