15 Sep Women in Print: Angelika and Liliya’s Careers in German Packaging
During a recent trip to Germany, Jan had the incredible opportunity to visit one of the premier folding carton manufacturers in the region. Touring the facility was impressive on its own, but the highlight was meeting two skilled tradeswomen who are not only thriving in their roles but also helping to shape the future of the industry.
Meet Angelika and Liliya
Angelika Roth has been working at Bauer Packaging for about a year. She is currently being trained on the company’s most advanced piece of equipment, a Heidelberg printing press. It is a highly technical and precise machine, and Angelika is proud to be mastering it. Her focus, attention to detail, and growing skill set are helping her build a strong foundation in the print trade.
Liliya Dolmann joined the company in 2021 and operates the Bobst die-cutting machine. She handles the machine that transforms printed sheets into finished cartons, making her a key part of the production process. It is a hands-on role that requires a mix of precision, timing, and mechanical knowledge, and Liliya is clearly skilled at what she does.
Both women are proud of their careers and their place in the manufacturing world. Their roles reflect the growing presence of women in skilled trades and the important contributions they make to the industry every day.
